Italeri 1/72 Sd.kfz 250/3 Halftrack Barbarrossa 1941

Italeri 1/72 Sd.kfz 250/3 Halftrack + R12 Motorcycle and Sidecar (Zeszda ) Barbarrossa 1941

This Little model seemed to want to fight me all the way so after a talking to and being left skulking or sulking in the build box for a while, it eventually came round to my way of thinking and behaved itself. The fist thing that upset me was the fact that although three nice figures are included - no Rommel for the famous Grief version.Very misleading box artwork. I appreciate this is an old Esci kit but come on, new box, new stickers (yep that's what I call them) why not new Figures, so the Barbarrossa version it was.
Some slight modifications were made to the vehicle namely lowering the high sit of the suspension.
I also made some alteration to the figures which included a new head for the commander, the figure holding the helmet had the lump that was supposed to be a helmet ground away and a new one glued in place. The third figure holding the riffle received  a new arm
Valejo paints were used throughout for the painting process of the vehicle and figures.

Plastic Soldier Company 1/72 T34 -76/85 in German Service

Plastic Soldier Company 1/72 T34 -76/85 in German Service

I think these models represent good value for money at £10.99 ish for 3 models, they come with a choice of either the 76 or 85  turret as well as a figure (not used) so you can choose which mark of T34 you wish to display or game The models are for wargames and so do not have the detail that a Revell or Dragon kit has, and the big down side is the the see through hull above the running gear but this can be easily blanked off with some plastic card. I decided that my 3 T34's would be finished as captured tanks in German Service. I decided to complete and paint both turrets just to see how they went together. All three models have been sold to fund future projects
